Klasey Jones is finally ready to kick on.

A producer, DJ, sound designer & writer based in Essex, Jones has always been inspired by his love of video game and film soundtracks. Meticulous in learning the ropes of sound design, developing a rich, deeply idiosyncratic sound palette all of his own in the process, his hours behind the boards have – up to this point – often done much of his talking for him.

Jones’ music first found its home on Plastician’s Terrorhythm label in 2017 – a banner label for over a decade and now home to a roster of artists from across a host of hyper-connected URL communities and burgeoning micro-scenes – thrusting him into the underground spotlight quickly, both in the UK and specifically, the US.

Operating through a lens of anime and cyberpunk, debut EP ‘Foreign Buyers Club’ – a five-track entry point to the world Jones has been building ever since, depicting him as his own animated character – sent immediate shockwaves rippling through online communities, many of whom speculated as to Klasey Jones’ true identity. Who was the artist behind the animations? Critically-acclaimed, it was reviewed as Mixmag’s Grime & Dubstep album of the month on release.

Ethereal by design but also intensely visual, his music rapidly won fans from across the wave, trap and instrumental grime communities, spawning a series of further projects, including a raft of singles and two full-length, self-released albums; 2017’s ‘Eleven’ and 2019’s ‘Voodoo Estate’. The response to both was fevered.

Now prepped to release new music as part of a multi-faceted, multi-media EP project, he feels ready to build out his world in both URL and IRL spaces. Teased with the release of ‘Hands Of Time’ – the first single in a crucial new chapter in his career – the project marks the first step in the evolution of Klasey Jones.
